Intern Spotlight: Minjun (Paul) Liao
Each season we introduce a few of the KADDI dietetic interns completing their supervised practice with K&A Nutrition. Say hello to Minjun (Paul) Liao!

What inspired you to become a dietitian?
I'm a foodie. I love food and really care about my health and the health of others. Two years ago my grandfather passed away due to malnutrition. I was planning to just study food studies, but that changed my decision. I want to be a clinical dietitian so I can help more people, even though I couldn't help my grandpa.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
An RDN specializing in type 2 diabetes, and maybe an international food expert! I will focus more on nutrition education too, and create a business on my own or with a team of RDNs and healthcare professionals built around food as medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Favorite food
Mapo tofu, hot pot, and foie gras.
Fun fact about you
I'm a jack of all trades. I'm a photographer, chef, sommelier, bartender, watchmaker, and gunsmith. I simply love doing different things and enjoying life as much as possible. I also had a cat named Squid.
