Intern Spotlight: Sophia Hackney
Each season we introduce a few of the KADDI dietetic interns completing their supervised practice with K&A Nutrition. Say hello to Sophia Hackney!

What inspired you to become a dietitian?
In high school I started weightlifting and subsequently reading more about food and nutrition in my free time. I found all the science and preventative abilities intriguing and quickly established a set course to become a dietitian. The type, I don't know yet.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I'm hoping to have kids and integrate my knowledge of pediatric nutrition into my meal making abilities. Ideally I will have some clinical experience going into it, and having my own kids can help me suggest interventions for patients with a greater sense of empathy.
Favorite food
Cinnamon rolls and carrots are my favorite. The first gives me that satisfying cozy feel and the other fixes my crunchy cravings.
Fun fact about you
I really enjoy cooking, so much so that I've considered making food products (nutritious ones) while raising little ones.
